Chloe is very lucky that her entire immediate family lives close by--with the exception of her Uncle Bryan whose navy career takes him all over the world. But Uncle Bryan drove down from Denver to meet his new niece this past weekend.

Bath time fun.
Chloe has really started to like taking baths---Ok, so we've only had one bath so far that she didn't scream her head off--but I think it is a sign. She is also growing so she is finally fitting into some of her pajamas--so we take her to the changing table, put on her funny footed pj's and on this paticular night--instead of combing her hair-we decided to give her an afro. Oh- she will love us later in life for this.
Chloe's first pair of running shoes.
A trip to the Nike Outlet store will never be the same. We went down an aisle that we never went down before--the kids shoes size aisle. And there they were size 2 pink and purple nikes. We could not resist. We have no idea when these will fit her, but they are so cute to look at that they were worth the 24.99 we paid for them.
Chloe's Social Calendar
Chloe attended her first 1st Birthday Party a couple of weeks ago. Myah, our friend Tim and Brittany's daughter, turned 1 on June 26th--she is exactly 11 months older than Chloe and I'm sure they will become great friends. They live in our neighborhood, so I stuck Chloe into the sling--where she stayed for most of the party even though she was all dressed up for the occasion in her strawberry princess outfit and tulip bib.
Myah was the most polite cake eater I've ever seen.

Picnic in Prescott
The good part of living in Phoenix in the summer time is that it is easy to get out of the heat. Just a 2 hour drive north to Prescott and we went from 105 degrees to 65 degrees (and yes we were cold). It was Chloe's first road trip and despite one traffic jam, one wrong turn, and a little rain storm --it was a good one. Since we are pretty much home bound this summer--we thought it would be a good idea to get out and visit the places in our own state that we never pay any attention too--for this first trip it was up to Prescott (just about 100 miles north of Phoenix) to the infamous courthouse. It was a beautiful place for a picnic and it happen to be "Frontier Days" with a rodeo in town--so there were plenty of opportunities for people watching with all the belt buckles and cowboy hats walking around.
Trying out the "ergo carrier"
