Chloe Originals

A few of our favorite works of art by Chloe.  These are from the toddler collection on loan from a box in her room.
The Tree of Life
Notice how the trunk of the tree is an outstretched hand reaching out into the green foliage.

Untitled
The use of color and texture is just amazing.

The Heart
The brush strokes mimic movement showing the rushing blood through the heart.

Snowflake
From Chloe's Blue Period last winter.

This is Chloe's stab at collage.

Fireworks
Do you see how she was able to capture the firework in the center exploding as it starts to fade the sparks show brighter.

Summer Fire
Inspired by the Arizona wildfires.

Ker-Chow

Is Lightening McQueen the new Elmo?

or maybe Buzz Lightyear is the new Elmo.

Watch Out--Chloe has discovered Pixar and LOVES Cars and Toy Story.  In the hot Arizona summer, there is limited outside play, so movie time is in full effect.  She gets very concerned for Buzz in Toy Story as he is always falling and she looks at us and says "Oh no Buzz Fall"

She also has a new phrase and I don't know where it came from, but at least once during the movies, usually during the fireworks in Cars and when Sid straps the rocket to Buzz in Toy Story she seems to get scared and says "Scare Me, Scare Me"

We tried a new movie today--Monsters Inc.  She sat on Mommy's lap and watched for about 20 mintues and then I asked her if she wanted me to turn it off and she said "Yes, Scare Me"--No wonder, the movie was about Monsters scaring little kids in their bedrooms.  What was Pixar thinking with that one.

Daddy Daughter Play Date

There is nothing better than hanging out with Daddy all morning, yummy breakfast, you get to stay in your jammies till noon, you get to play with puzzles, and basically get to do whatever you want.

Including putting Daddy to bed and reading him bedtime stories.
